Coaching


Coaching at Powerhouse Weightlifting is hands-on and process driven. Individualized programming is used to guide athlete development, with changes made through ongoing coaching and observation.

In-Person
In-person coaching at Powerhouse combines individualized programming with a team training environment. Athletes follow programs tailored to their specific needs while training alongside others in structured sessions. This model allows for focused coaching and personal progression while maintaining the support and accountability that comes from training as part of a team.

Youth Weightlifting
Our youth weightlifting program introduces Olympic weightlifting alongside foundational strength and conditioning. Athletes follow age-appropriate programming that develops movement quality and general athleticism through coached lifting and field-based activities such as sprinting and throwing. Training occurs in a structured group environment that emphasizes learning and steady progression without early specialization.



Remote Coaching
Remote coaching at Powerhouse provides individualized programming and direct coach oversight for athletes training outside our facility. Programming is delivered through CoachLogik, with video submissions reviewed and feedback provided within 24 hours. Coaches remain responsive to athlete questions and adjust training based on movement quality and ongoing progress rather than fixed templates.
Gamecocks Weightlifting
Gamecocks Weightlifting is a collegiate Olympic weightlifting club supported by Powerhouse Weightlifting through coaching oversight. University of South Carolina students train alongside Powerhouse athletes and receive supplemental support to help offset national competition expenses.


Mental Performance Coaching
Mental Performance Coaching supports athletes in managing the mental demands of training and competition. This service is included for athletes enrolled in in-person, youth, and remote coaching, and it is also available as a standalone option. Support is practical and applied, with the goal of improving focus, confidence, and consistency within the training process.
